Perform the following changes to the system.ini file:

Under the [boot] section change
comm.drv=c:\windows\system\cticomm.drv
to
comm.drv=c:\windows\comm.drv

Under the [386Enh] section change
device=ctivcd.386
to
device=*vcd.386

Remove all text entries under the [ConnectTech] including the title [ConnectTech].

Delete the following all files located in the CTI.

C:\WINDOWS\CTIUTILS.GRP
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\CTIVCD.386
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\CTICPL.CPL
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\CTICOMM.DRV

After rebooting Windows you will see the following error message;

Windows cannot find "CTIUTILS.GRP" would you like windows to load this in the future? Select NO.

Now the CTI Windows 3.1x Intellicon Driver has been completely removed, and the system is back into its original state.
