PC/104-Plus combines the benefits of a PC/104

PC/104 modules are ideal for embedded systems. Small, modular and
expandable,

offer a cost-effective, mechanically rugged solution for the embedded system designer.
The PC/104-Plus module improves on the design by addressing the needs of today's performance intensive systems. PC/104 offers many advantages to designers, but it is limited by its ISA bus, which cannot take advantage of the evolution of computers to the higher speed PCI connection.
By adding a PCI extension to the traditional PC/104 design, the PC/104-Plus retains the key attributes of the PC/104 standard and preserves backward compatibility by enabling both to be combined in module stacks. PC/104-Plus products, like the Xtreme/104-Plus, offer off-the-shelf convenience, high data transfer rates, and a rugged design making PC/104-Plus ideal for applications in the industrial automation, military and medical instrumentation areas.
Connect Tech's Xtreme/104-Plus is robust, and operates at an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Switchable interface models can be configured for electrical interface, baud rate, parity, data and stop bits independently. This makes it perfect for any embedded PC application.

Xtreme/104-Plus Features
Two, four or eight asynchronous serial ports.
Four and eight port models available in switchable
RS-232/422/485.
Two and four port models available with dedicated RS-423 interface.
Data transfer speeds from 50 bps to 1.8432 Mbps.
Each port is controlled by a high performance UART, providing 64 bytes of transmit and receive FIFO buffers.
Supports three RS-485 modes: Full Duplex, Half Duplex and Multi-drop.
Industrial Temperature operating range of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius (-40°F to 185°F).
