New tool for embedded systems developers

Connect Tech has added
a new engineering tool to aid developers in their testing environments. The PCI to PC/104-Plus Adapter is a
passive extender card that enables developers to mount a PCI-104 or PC/104-Plus
module into a Universal PCI bus system. The adapter is equipped with a stack-through connector so the test card can be installed on either side
(model AD001), enabling probing on the front or the back. The design also allows cables to exit from the host PC for easy connection to external devices.
The
PCI to PC/104-Plus adapter allows easy testing and debugging of
PC/104-Plus systems via an existing desktop PC, sparing the expense of a
separate development system. Used in default mode, the adapter will
automatically route the appropriate signals directly to the test card
without any need for configuration. Simply set the PC/104-Plus card ID to 0 and
begin testing.
