The
Electronics Engineering Technologist or Technician is responsible for:
-
Set-up, calibration and operation of specialized and
standard test equipment
-
Testing, diagnosis and repair of Connect Tech products
-
Building prototypes
and special order in-house product builds
self-motivated, team minded “we can build that” attitude
-
Performing live tests
(burn-ins) on assemblies, recording and analyzing
results in accordance with defined procedures
Candidates will:
-
Have a diploma or
degree in electronics
engineering technology and a minimum of two years
related work experience
-
Have the ability to
read schematics and to understand test programs in C (QNX/Linux)
-
Be knowledgeable in
RS-485, RS-232, PCI, and PCI Express platforms
-
Have a familiarity
with serial communications

Software developers are an integral part of the design and
development team and participate in the entire development
life-cycle. This exciting opportunity provides new

As one
of our software developers you will:

Design, develop, test and maintain device drivers and
embedded firmware

Develop and test debugging applications
-
Contribute to product documentation when appropriate

Participate in team communications and project
management
Candidates will have:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or
equivalent
-
3 to 5
years experience in Operating System level development
-
Experience in embedded or device C/C++ programming
-
Working knowledge of
one or more of the following
-
Linux kernel or device driver writing
-
QNX device driver writing
-
Solaris device driver writing
-
Windows/Windows Embedded device driver writing
Familiarity in the following environments is considered an
asset:
-
Serial
communications
-
TCP/IP
programming
-
FPGA /
VHDL
-
CVS
and or Subversion
