The unit is a compact, low profile box with all of the serial ports and USB connectors conveniently located at the back. The front panel houses status LEDs that indicate serial port activity and USB status.

WhiteHEAT USB simply plugs into a single USB port and the hardware set-up is complete. Peripherals such as high-speed modems, barcode scanners, magnetic stripe readers, weigh scales, terminals, serial printers, industrial control devices and many more, are configured as soon as they are attached. It eliminates the need to open the computer to install internal cards and there are no jumpers or DIP switches to set -- simply Plug and Play!

WhiteHEAT USB is fully USB 1.0 compliant. It provides you with four high performance serial ports that are compatible with any standard Windows serial communications application. Each serial port is capable of baud rates up to 460.8k and provides all the signals necessary for full modem control. You can configure baud rate, parity, data and stop bits settings for each port independently.

WhiteHEAT USB offers hardware reliability by providing IEC1000-4 compliant ESD protection on all signals, all ports. This protection means fewer failures and less downtime.

The WhiteHEAT USB includes a comprehensive installation guide, a USB cable to connect it to the USB connector on the host computer, and software drivers for Windows 98. WhiteHEAT USB is now shipping from stock, comes with a five year limited warranty and retails for a suggested list price of $349.00 (USD).
