The BlueStorm/Express, a 2 or 4 port x1 Lane PCI Express serial card, is the first member of this new family, offering data speeds of up to 1.843 Mbps in RS-422/485 mode. This robust, reliable card is available in switchable RS-232/422/485, offering up to 64 bytes of transmit and receive FIFO per channel, further enhancing your communications. 

PCI Express offers the next generation in computer backplane standards. Rather than rely on a shared parallel bus architecture, PCI Express is built around bidirectional, dedicated point-to-point "lanes". This lane topology centralizes resource management and routing functions, increasing scalability and the overall speed of the communications protocol.

Current PCI systems can be converted easily by changing the physical layer only, without any change to the existing application software. Use Connect Tech's new BlueStorm/Express serial cards to take advantage of the performance enhancements of the new PCI Express bus with your existing serial peripherals.
