Connect Tech Inc. Announces ISO 9001-2000

Connect Tech Inc. is now ISO 9001-2000 compliant, upholding
the latest standard of the world-class quality system
published by the International Organization for
Standardization, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Guelph company officially upgraded its ISO status today
after a successful quality management system audit and
subsequent award of Certificate of Registration, which
required significant changes from the ISO 9001-1994 system.
The requirements set forth in the new standard reflect an
increased commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous
improvement.
The ISO allows a three-year transition period from the date of
publication of the revised standard, in this case until late
2003,
to compliance.
According to Connect Tech’s Quality System Manager,
Rob Horne, Connect Tech is well ahead of schedule due to an
involved process already in action that ensures customer
satisfaction. “Really, this process is a formal recognition of
what Connect Tech has been doing all along,” he explained.
“When you distribute your products world-wide, conformity to
an internationally recognized standard quality system ensures
your product meets the needs and expectations of your
customer,” said Connect Tech President David J. Worthen.
