Important Notice:
All Blue Heat/PCI
products are now End of Life (EOL) due to the EOL of a
critical component used in the manufacture of these products
and the inability to source a suitable replacement.
Although we may have limited stock still available, we

Blue Heat/PCI PTM (Pass-Through
Mux)

The Blue Heat/PCI Pass-Through Mux
(PTM) empowers your application with Monitor Pass-Through and Intercept Pass-Through
capabilities. In short, it provides peace of mind for your PCI system.
The three-way transparent connection
operates in two modes. In Monitor mode, the two asynchronous
RS-232 ports provide a pass-through for the devices connected
at each port (the primary host and a Mechanical Equipment
Controller, or MEC). This ensures a continuous connection
between the primary host and MEC (minus monitoring
capabilities) even in the face of power outages or software
failures in the secondary host computer.
The Intercept mode allows the adapter
computer's software to intercept and relay information from
both devices at the same time, effectively monitoring the
communications between the primary host and MEC.
Connect Tech has teamed the Blue Heat/PCI PTM's pass-through capabilities with the
PEER Group's Plex4SECS,
a software application for the semiconductor industry
that actively manages multiple host connections to
a tool while ensuring the primary host
maintains control.
For SECS-I (serial) primary host
connections, the addition of Connect Tech’s Blue Heat/PCI
Pass-Through Mux (PTM) board guarantees the tool a connection
to the primary host should the Plex4SECS system stop or lose
power. This unique pairing offers a complete software/hardware
solution, resulting in a true fail-safe
condition for SECS-I hosts.
