The DFlex/104 is a compact, standard
multi-port serial adapter offering unparalleled flexibility
for PC/104 compatible systems. The use of Serial Line
Interface Modules (SLIM) ensures the configuration of your
board is perfectly suited to your I/O requirements. If and
when your hardware requirements change, simply field upgrade
the board with the appropriate SLIM. Fast and convenient, the
DFlex/104 offers industrial strength solutions for control and
automation applications such as data collection devices,
barcode readers, time clocks, scales and a host of other
peripherals.

Flexibility: Four
high performance RS-232 and/or RS-422/485 and/or 20mA
Current Loop and/or RS-423 asynchronous communication
ports. Electrical interfaces are on Serial Line Interface
Modules (SLIM), so the user can configure the DFlex-4/104
with a unique combination of electrical interfaces.

Performance:
Ports are controlled by a high performance quad XR16C654
UART which is backward compatible with standard 16450 and
16550 UARTs. Each port can be configured independently.

Speed: Data
transfer speeds range from 50 bps to 460.8 Kbps.

Adaptability:
IRQ lines are jumper selectable, and each board
offers the choice of using one, two, or four interrupts.
