PCI Bus

The PCI bus provides a high speed data path between your peripherals and the CPU. Your system's performance is greatly influenced by what you use to bridge the communications between these components. With that in mind, Connect Tech offers a variety of PCI serial cards from which to choose, to ensure you get the most from your computer's communication abilities.

We offer standard PCI serial cards with options for RS-232/422/485 and 20mA Current Loop serial interfaces, and optical isolation. We also have low profile and Universal PCI cards.

To keep you connected to the multiple serial devices your industry relies on every day, our PCI serial cards are built to the highest standards, meeting or exceeding all PCI specifications. All Connect Tech PCI serial cards are built using 4 and 6 layer Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) with power and ground planes. These help to lower Radiated Emissions from the circuitry and give better signal integrity, resulting in better performance. We ensure that ALL PCI gold fingers providing power are adequately decoupled to the power and ground planes using decoupling capacitors. Proper decoupling is essential to maintain signal integrity and prevent current fluctuations from adversely affecting other cards on the PCI bus, and vice versa.

BlueStorm/LP

The BlueStorm/LP offers the practicality of a small footprint coupled with  available Universal PCI 2.3 compliancy, servicing both older 5 volt and the newer 3.3 volt systems. Achieving data speeds up to 921.6 Kbps, this MD1 low profile board is perfect in any system where space is at a premium, but performance is a must.

BlueStorm/SP RJ-11

BlueStorm/SP RJ-11 offers eight ports of RS-232 serial connectivity.  Each port can be configured independently for baud rate, parity, data and stop bits.  Eliminate the need for external power supplies with the +5 VDC or +12 VDC of power provided on six RJ-11 ports for applications where peripherals may require it (up to 300mA total). Two DB-9 connectors are also accessible via an optional cable assembly.
